Tips for Transitioning to Minimal or Barefoot Running

  1. Awesome post. I would second the slow transition. Rather do lots of short runs as opposed to fewer long runs- even if you are fit. I started out running short distances (3-5km) virtually daily and that made the transition easier. Importantly, though, listen to YOUR body. Was at marathon distance in three months with no issues.
